Getting there, getting around

Airports and transport

Entebbe International is the country’s only international airport and sits about 40km from Kampala — allow an hour or more for the transfer depending on traffic. It is the most compact of the three hosts to move around.

Match-day transport

We arrange airport transfers and transport to the ground for every booking. Once CAF confirms venues we coordinate match-day movement for your group directly — this is the part supporters most often underestimate in an unfamiliar city.

Travel tips

  • Jinja and the source of the Nile are about two hours from Kampala, which makes rafting a genuine day trip rather than a separate holiday.
  • Gorilla permits in Bwindi are strictly limited and sell out months ahead. If this matters to you, it has to be booked before the rest of the trip.
  • Kampala traffic is heavy. Build more time into match-day transfers than the distance suggests.

We hold no published hotel inventory for the tournament period — host-city rates are not yet contracted, and a stadium-distance claim before CAF names a venue would be invented.

We confirm current requirements for your specific passport with your quote, and we always point you to the official source rather than restating rules that change.
