Casablanca Mohammed V (CMN) is Morocco’s main long-haul airport, and when we checked in September 2026 it had no nonstop flights to Kenya, Tanzania or Uganda. Every journey therefore involves at least one connection.
Cairo is the most flexible stop: Royal Air Maroc and EgyptAir both fly Casablanca–Cairo, and EgyptAir continues nonstop to Nairobi, Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar and Entebbe. Jeddah with Saudia, Doha with Qatar Airways and Istanbul with Turkish Airlines are other possibilities, and some itineraries pair Royal Air Maroc to Lagos or Accra with Kenya Airways onwards to Nairobi.
Arabic and Tamazight are Morocco’s official languages; in East Africa, English is the practical common language for Moroccan travellers, with Swahili widely spoken locally.
Moroccan residents have one extra thing to plan: spending abroad on personal trips falls under the Office des Changes travel allowance, currently a base of MAD 100,000 per person per calendar year, which can be topped up by a supplement equal to 30% of the previous year’s income tax, up to a ceiling of MAD 500,000. As for entry, the rules follow your passport; we check them for your nationality before you book.
